Man I'm bummed

I checked Stephenie Meyer's website and someone illegally posted a partial draft of Midnight Sun on the internet and so it is now ON HOLD INDEFINITELY!
She posted a partial draft herself and I read it yesterday and like I already thought just from reading the first chapter... it is to be a truly good book. And will give such insight into Edward's side of the story... If we ever get to read it all!

On a good note... my Harry Potter collection is complete. My staff at work loves me! One of the girls on my team knew that I was looking for hardback copies of the first 3 books. But I just haven't had the extra money to spend on buying them retail. She goes to a shop close to work at least once a week and lo and behold last week, someone sold off their entire collection and she snapped up the first 3 for me and had them hold them for me (at a deeply discounted price!)! How awesome is that! I wasn't sure I was going to be a good supervisor, but maybe I'm doing something right?

Why do a few have to ruin it for the majority?! Jerk!

On the bright side... Yay for the Harry Potter books. Woo Hoo!

I bet you rock as a supervisor.

are you serious?!! why oh why can't we just exterminate the idiots?
and do you know that my husband buys every harry potter book he comes across at like second hand shops and when the library sells them and stuff? we have like a billion copies of all of them. it's ridiculous.

Why would they keep it on hold just for a few idiots? What is Midnight Sun about in relation to the series? I had not heard.

midnight sun is twilight from edward's perspective. if you go to stephenie's website, then you can read the first chapter. it's very interesting to get into edward's head. have you finished breaking dawn yet?

I wish I was kidding Liz!

According to her website, she was so heartbroken that she said that there's no way she'd be able to finish it the way it's supposed to be finished.

Like I said, I read the partial draft and it's great. I sincerely hope that she is able to finish it sooner rather than later!

I'd reckon that her feeling are hurt because she know who leaked it and it's someone close to her.

I'd be really, really hurt if I were in the same position. I just wouldn't feel like writing. Also she seems pretty invested in her work. It's more than a job.

I did finish Breaking Dawn! I'm using my points from various online survey groups to buy up the whole series now for my home collection. I loved the ending!

Me too, Timpani! I loved every word of it!

BTW Dana, I'm working on the CDs. I'll send them to you with the book.

oh, i'm so glad you liked it timpani! there were/are people who absolutely despised it, and i just don't get where they're coming from at all. if you didn't like it, i was going to have to never speak to you again, and i sure like you, so that would have made me sad. hey! speaking of, when are you and your little family gonna make it up to our new house anyways?
and i forgot to mention before trisha that i'm sure you're doing something right at the job. people don't go out of they're way to do something nice for the boss if they don't like 'em at least a little. unless the lady in question is a ginormous suck-up, but then who cares about that? enjoy the sucking-up, heehee!

Timpani how do you get points from doing online surveys? That's interesting.

Online surveys that I like:

zoompanel.com (best stuff)
lightspeedpanel.com (gift certificates)
testspin.com (gift certificates)
e-poll.com (gift certificates)
globaltestmarket.com (cash)
harrispollonline.com (gift certificates)

I think those are all right on the web addresses, you may have to Yahoo! search them. You do surveys, you acquire points, and it comes out to about $20-30 a month in stuff and gift certificates if you do ALL those listed above. So, it's really small change, but kind of fun for me ;)

Thanks Timpani! :) I'll check into those.
